Thank you to all of those who participated with us in
the 36-Hour Giving Challenge. It was our first attempt at a fund raiser
such as this and we appreciate all the effort and generosity from the
volunteers to the donors and the organizers and sponsors of the event.
Twenty-nine individuals donated $1350, which is not too
bad in spite of the difficulty we experienced early the first morning.
For those of you who tried to donate and did not get through we
apologize. For those who were persistent until they got through, we
thank you whole heartedly and applaud your fortitude.
If you would still like to show your generosity and make a contribution
after the fact, please do not use the Giving Challenge website any
longer. Instead mail your check made out to The Sarasota Choral
Society to our local address at 5317 Fruitville Road
#147, Sarasota, FL 34232. All gifts are tax deductible and we
will provide you with a receipt to the address you enclose.
A special thanks to Debye Bernard for being so quick in
getting out the e-blasts to keep us all informed of our progress. A tip
of the hat to all of the other Board members for their support during
this event.
We have not received the final notification from
the Community Foundation of Sarasota regarding the other opportunity
grants and matching funds, if any, but we would like to thank the
